Lomandra 'Shara' in Profile
'Shara' Lomandra fluviatilis ‘ABU7’
This exciting new Lomandra cultivar is going to be a real asset for humid coastal regions, from the Mid North Coast of NSW throught to tropical Queensland, as it is highly resistant to the root rotting fungus Phytophthora, which has had devastating effects on other dwarf Lomandra.
Shara has fine green to bluish foliage that looks like a cross between 'Wingarra' and 'Tanika'. It flowers in Spring and Summer with masses of cream coloured flowers arching gracefully above the foliage. It will have great applications on road sides, commercial garden spaces, public and residential gardens.
Bluedale has been building stock of Shara over the past few years through division - naturally this is a slow process (tissue culture has been unsuccessful for this plant to date). With this in mind we recommend that you advance order your stock to ensure supply. For the moment Bluedale will only have Shara available in 140mm pots.
