Aranda is a compact, dwarf caneless Dianella with upright to slightly arching deep green foliage. Aranda has very tight rhizome growth with a modest spread. Aranda has deep blue flowers that are held just above the foliage in spring to early summer. Aranda makes an ideal border and edging plant.

Dianella caerulea 'DC 150' Dimensions: 250 - 300mm tall x 350mm wide. Aranda is a caneless dwarf Dianella, with a clumping habit. It has slightly arching, semi gloss deep green foliage. Flowers: Spring & Summer. Deep blue coloured flower buds and star flowers held among, to slightly above, the foliage, followed by purple berries. Aspect: Grows in full sun to 90% shade. Grows well in coastal humidity and inland climates. Frost testing is currently underway with early results indicating it ill be similar to Little Jess. Soil Types: Sandy loam, clay loam, free draining clay soils. Doesn't like water logged soils. Performs exceptionally well in improved garden soils. Mulch Type: No problems with any well composted, processed mulch type. Maintenance: Trim back foliage to 100mm above the ground every 2 to 3 years, if needed, to remove old foliage. Fertilize with slow release fertilizer after trimming to encourage fresh re-growth. Available Sizes: 140mm Pots only.
