Dianella caerulea 'DCNC0' Dimensions: 500mm tall x 500mm wide. Breeze is a caneless form of Dianella with brilliant green upright foliage. It has spreading non-invasive rhizome with the ability to fill in gaps. Flowers: Baby blue star shaped flowers in early spring held amongst and slightly above foliage height, followed by purple berries in summer. Aspect: Breeze will grow in complete full sun and also 70% shade. It will require protected coastal aspects and will handle humidity. It grows well inland where it can handle cold to -7c and light frost. Soil Types: Sandy loam, clay loam, light clays. Mulch Type: Breeze has no problems with any well composted, processed mulch type. Maintenance: Trim back foliage to 100mm above the ground every 2 to 3 years in spring to remove the old foliage. Fertilize with slow release fertilizer after trimming.
