In humid climates use the lower planting rates

Dimensions: 700 - 800mm tall x 700 - 800mm wide. Katrinus Deluxe is a select cultivar of common Katrinus. Katrinus Deluxe has a finer leaf and larger flowers compared to the common form.

Flowers: Spring & Summer with large sprays of flowers. Produces no viable seed.

Aspect: Katrinus Deluxe grows in full sun and 50% shade. It is suited to protected coastal aspects. Katrinus Deluxe grows well in inland climates where it will handle cold to -10c with medium levelled frost. Katrinus traditionally performs well in heavy soils, care should be given not to over water in humid coastal areas with heavy soils.

Soil Types: Sandy loam, clay loams and heavier clay soil types.

Mulch Type: Use a well processed mulch such as wood chip or non-organic gravel mulch. Avoid mulching hard up against the base of the plant.

Maintenance Level 3: Trim back foliage to 300mm above the ground every 5 years or so if needed, to remove old growth. Fertilize with slow release fertilizer after trimming to encourage fresh re-growth.
