Lomandra longifolia

Dimensions: 1m - 1.5m tall x 1m - 1.3m wide. Common Lomandra is a species with high variability. Bluedale limits this variability by collecting our own seed from selected plants which have proven to grow well in both coastal and inland climates.

Flowers: Spring & Summer with yellow perfumed flowers.

Aspect: Lomandra grows in full sun and up to 70% shade. It will handle full exposure to coastal winds with only a little leaf tip burn. Good in coastal humidity and grows well inland where it can handle cold to -10c and heavy frost - once established the first season.

Soil Types: Sandy loam, and free draining clay loams.

Mulch Type: Coarse grade mulch type.

Maintenance Level 3: Trim foliage in spring by half every 3 to 5 years, if needed. Fertilize after trimming. Be careful when re-mulching and don't over water.

Available Sizes: Viro-tubes & 140mm Pots

Planting Rates:

Mass planting: Viro-tubes 5 to 7/m2, Pots 3 to 5/m2

Specimen planting: Viro-tubes 3/m2, Pots 1 to 3/m2
