Lomandra filiformis 'Mondra'

Dimensions: 150 to 200mm tall x 200mm wide. Mondra is a small, lime green, super fine foliaged Lomandra that will spread over time to form a neat compact sward. Mondra resembles a fine leafed Mondo grass that will be a great feature plant for small gardens, courtyards, roof top gardens, in fact any compact garden space. Mondra performs well between partly shaded pavers and stepping stones and as an edging plant in cool garden aspects.

Flowers: Spring & Summer with very small yellow flowers.

Aspect: Mondra will grow in complete full sun and up to 70% shade. In full sun it may benefit from supplementary watering during dry weather. Suited to protected coastal aspects. It grows well inland where it can handle cold to -5c and light frost.

Soil Types: Sandy loam and free draining clay loams and light clay.

Mulch Type: Mondra is suited to coarse grade hard wood chips and gravel mulches. Don't mulch hard up against the base of the foliage.

Maintenance: Trim back foliage every 2 to 3 years, if needed, to remove old foliage. Fertilize annually with slow release fertilizer to encourage fresh growth. Take care not to over mulch or over water.
