Pennisetum alopecuroides 'PA300'

'Nafray' is a mid-sized grass to 0.9m tall. It has compact, fine green foliage, prolific flowering in late summer to autumn. Nafray is an ideal plant for ornamental landscaping, both domestic and commercial. Best planted in mulched garden beds with some occasional watering during extreme hot weather. Planted in combination with Strappy Leafed Plants produces good contrasting foliage effects.

Soil Types: Loam, clay loam and free draining light clay.

Mulch Type: Organic and non-organic gravel mulch will keep soil moisture high during dry times.

Maintenance: Trim back to 200mm above ground, in early spring, every 1-2 years to remove the old foliage and spent flowers. Fertilize with slow release fertilizer after trimming and water well to encourage fresh re-growth.
