Re-vegetation Grasses
Re-vegetation Grasses
Bluedale is a major supplier of grasses for re-vegetation of native bush land, riparian zones & eco-projects. We have supplied many projects from Highway regeneration projects to buffer zones plantings in new residential sub-divisions.
The following grass profiles are those we recommend to our clients. They are reliable, commercially available and cost effective. We do however grow many other varieties to special order, contact us by phone or email with your requirements.
The following profiled plants should form the foundation of your project as they are either larger clumping plants, or rhizomatous plants, that will suppress weeds in the early critical phase of a project. Weed control can be by far the single biggest issue to contend with particularly on degraded sites. Using these plant species in your core planting will provide the necessary weed control, giving smaller and less robust plants, (which have difficulty out-competing exotic weeds), a chance to establish. Using grasses as understory planting will ensure the success of your project.
