Lomandra longifolia 'Erindale' is a miniature form that has compact deep green foliage. It can be used as an alternative to Mondo Grass that will not over run the garden. Erindale is best suited to maintained gardens. Ideally suited to courtyards, formal gardens, pot speciemens.

Erindale has yet to flower.

Aspect

In full sun Erindale remains more compact resembling mini Mondo grass. Erindale grows well in protected coastal aspects and in dry inland climates. Erindale will handle cold to –5º, but is best in aspects with protection from heavy frosts.

Soil Type

Sandy loam, clay loam, free draining clay soils. Best result from improved garden soils with annual fertilizer applications.

Maintenance

Trim back to remove any older foliage annually. Fertilize with slow release fertilizer to encourage fresh re-growth. Be careful when re-mulching in humid conditions and don’t over water.
